The Online Admission System is set to close at midnight and the department's spokesperson, Geoffrey van der Merwe, says that all applicants should submit their applications with the required documentation. Van der Merwe adds that applications submitted after the deadline will be considered as a late registration and entry into a public school will depend on the availability of space at the school.

‘’To date, we have registered a total of 54 095 successful applications. The Northern Cape Department of Education is proud of what we were able to accomplish in terms of the development of the online system. The department will soon start the placement of all applications to be completed by the end of this year.’’

The 2021 Online Admission System opened for applications on 14 September 2020 and the admission period was extended from 30 September 2020 to 9 October 2020.
