The Free State Education Department will on Thursday have an official ceremony to celebrate its partnership with the South African Air Force (SAAF).
OFM News at the beginning of the month reported that the Air Force has availed engineers and technicians to train departmental officials in efforts to improve learner performance in technical mathematics.
Departmental spokesperson, Howard Ndaba, says several experts from the Air Force have been sent to schools and they are hopeful the province will soon reap great rewards.
He, in a statement, highlights that this was done to ensure that learners receive all the necessary support and to improve the quality of education in the province.
Ndaba alludes Makgoe, together with the Air Force's Brigadier General Hilton Smith, will lead the celebratory event at the Bloemspruit Air Force Base from 11:00.
He reiterates the department aims to ensure that through this partnership the state of education is not only improved, but that the Free State province remains in the first position countrywide in terms of the matric pass rate.
