He will be facing charges of public violence, arson, and malicious damage to property, among others. His arrest follows that of André Pienaar, who was also arrested for his alleged involvement in the unrest that broke out at the Senekal Magistrate's Court during the first appearance of Brandon Horner's murder suspects.

Sekwetje Isaiah Mahlamba (32) and Sekola Piet Matlaletsa (44) made their first court appearance on October 6 for the murder of the 21-year-old farm manager, whose body was found at the De Rots farm on October 1.

Court proceedings were then disrupted by protesters who demanded that the two suspects be handed over to them. Subsequent to that, the magistrate's court's property was damaged, gunshots were fired, a police vehicle was overturned and torched.

Horner's murder has since sparked outrage countrywide following the protests, with many stating that it was an attack on the state.

The case against Horner's two murder suspects will be heard in the same Local Magistrate's Court on October 20 and 22.
