NW Patients without medication─── 06:44 Tue, 20 Oct 2020
Patients at the Ottosdal Community Health Center in the North West have reportedly been without their medication for some time, as the facility's pharmaceutical unit has been out of stock for a month.
Tebogo Lekgethwane, spokesperson for the North West health department, told OFM News that the department is aware of the challenges at the health center.
He adds that a similar problem is being experienced at the Matsheng Clinic in Taung.
According to Lekgethwane, the shortage is largely due to late orders; problems at the medical depot in Mahikeng; and the fact that the responsible district managers were not warned in time to intervene.
