The Hawks in the North West have swooped on another municipality in the province.
This time, executive mayor of the JB Marks Municipality, Kgotso Khumalo, became the latest one to be arrested. He and the accounting officer, Cyril Henry, from this municipality that includes Potchefstroom, are set to appear in court on Friday.
The high profile duo was arrested in connection with charges relating to theft and fraud.
OFM News reported earlier this week about the Hawks arresting former Ratlou Local Municipal Manager, Cassius Sebatane Sejake, for allegedly awarding four tenders worth R5 million in the 2018/19 financial year. The Ratlou Municipality includes Delarayville.
Meanwhile Sejake is on Friday applying for bail at the Atamelang Magistrate's Court. This is a developing story.
