Makgoe will today lead a Grade 12 Class of 2020 prayer service for all National Senior Certificate (NSC) and Senior Certificate (SC) candidates on various community radio stations in the province, which will also be streamed live on social media.

This year sees 49 127 candidates sitting for examinations that will be conducted under coronavirus (Covid-19) regulations.

Makgoe says that he is positive that the integrity of the examinations will remain intact, even through the adherence of protocols.

“We are now in full control of the printing, packing and safe-keeping and distribution of question papers,” said Makgoe.

He adds that a smooth delivery of question papers will be conducted as point managers have been properly trained.

‘’We are ready. I am optimistic that all critical logistics have been met and our candidates will not worry about Covid-19 safety protocols’’.

‘’As the department we secured all question paper storage points and we urge the public to support the learners for the smooth running of the examinations’’.

The examinations are set to run from 5 November until 15 December 2020.
