Close allies of the ANC SG and former Free State premier Ace Magashule were barred from the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court in the Free State on Friday.

Former North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo and MKMVA spokesperson Carl Niehaus were taken outside and denied access by court officials. This led to a scuffle outside the gate of the Local Magistrate's Court where ANC supporters reacted angrily to news of the incident. Mahumapelo says he was pushed despite showing them accreditation.

"The police are not listening right? So we are caught in between, trying to manage the situation but we will not be provoked by the police. As I say, we don't know how many years this court process will take.

"But we've got the necessary stamina, the commitment to make sure that throughout this trial, whether it takes 10 years or 15 years, it doesn't matter we will stand by our leadership," he adds.

OFM News' Olebogeng Motse this morning reported that Magashule's close allies have kept true to their word and travelled to Bloemfontein to rally behind their fellow comrade.

Mahumapelo and former State Security Minister, Bongani Bongo, senior ANC NEC member, Tony Yengeni, and ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe touched down at the court in support of Magashule.

Magashule is appearing in connection with the 2013/14 controversial asbestos housing audit deal that ran into the hundreds of millions of rands.
