Residents in parts of Kutlwanong Block 5, K3, K7 and parts of Bohlokong respectively are advised that the implementation will take effect from 17:00 until 20:00. This, according to Eskom, is to avoid damage to the Eskom network and infrastructure in high-density areas. Senior Manager in Customer Services of the Free State Operating Unit, Bidi Bedir, also took the time to create awareness for the safe and legal use of electricity.

‘’We demonstrate Eskom’s zero-tolerance approach to illegal use of electricity. Transformers have been overloaded, networks are collapsing resulting in low reduction and long outages. This needs to stop, it costs Eskom a lot of money to repair’’.  

Eskom urges that each community helps tackle these challenges so that money can go into assisting communities for the better.
