Five farm attack suspects to appear in FS court─── 14:43 Wed, 02 Dec 2020
Five suspects are due to again appear in court in December 2020 to apply for bail after being arrested for attempted murder, attempted residential burglary, armed robbery, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and common assault.
Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says this follows their court appearance in the Warden Magistrate's Court in the Free State on Tuesday. The suspects are all remanded in custody until their next court appearance on 8 December 2020.
The Mozambican nationals, Dercio Muchanga (34), Fernando Chilamba (20), Jeralo Nkomo (31), Tino Fochero (20), and Santos Zungisa were arrested by farmers on 27 November 2020 after they attempted to break in at the Karkloof Farm at Verkykerskop in the Free State, and then assaulted and robbed workers.
