FS focuses on the disabled─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 07:19 Thu, 03 Dec 2020
The needs of Free State residents who are physically challenged and suffering from any form of disability will on Thursday come under public scrutiny.
This, as Free State Treasury - in conjunction with the Department of Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (Destea) - holds an event at the Gariep Dam to commemorate International Disability Month.
Finance MEC Gadija Brown's spokesperson, Andrew Visagie, tells OFM News that it is at this two-day event where Brown and Destea MEC, Makalo Mohale, will look at measures in which the provincial government could assist those with special needs.
Visagie says Treasury will specifically be focusing on measures that could be taken to ensure that those with disabilities fully participate in the economy.
