The Free State Department of Health is hosting a media briefing session on Friday following a week-long training workshop that was facilitated by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in collaboration with the Department of Health.
Mondli Mvambi, the spokesperson of Free State Health, says the workshop was part of the long-term capacity building process to strengthen the facilities of the Department of Health as part of the fight against infections, including the prevention of deadly viruses such as the Covid-19. The event is taking place at the Bon Hotel between 12:45-13:15 on Friday.
Media will have the opportunity to interview Infection Prevention and Control Experts from the World Health Organisation and the Department of Health, as well as to hear about the outcome and lessons learned, especially in view of the resurgence of Covid-19.
