It is estimated 160 men within the department will join the dialogue at 09:00 as a form of participating in the 16 Days of Activism campaign for no violence against woman and children, which is commemorated yearly from 25 November to 10 December. 

“Men can no longer be silent, they need to take a stand against gender-based violence,” says Makgoe. The dialogue is a sign of commitment by Education to end the scourge of woman and children abuse and create a peaceful society.

The department calls all men to be agents of change in the workplace and in their communities. The event will be held under the theme “Reject and report abusers, act and don’t look away”.
