The Maluti-A-Phofung local municipality in the Free State has purchased four Volkswagen Polos and a TLB truck to speed the service delivery.
The municipal executive mayor, Masetjhaba Mosia-Lakaje, has acknowledged that service delivery to residents of Qwaqwa, Harrismith, and Kestel is lacking.
She adds that the four cars will be used by the traffic department, while the truck will be used for digging in cemeteries.
She further indicated that two more vehicles would be unveiled shortly.
Furthermore, she pleaded with the residents to pay for their services to ensure that they meet the municipality halfway.
