The Shell Ultra City Pitstop was abuzz on Friday with every emergency unit in Mangaung on-site to bring road safety awareness to residents and travellers as the country nears the Christmas holidays. Today marks 20 years since the Life Rosepark Hospital/Shell Ultra City Pitstop road safety campaign has been presented to holiday goers in the province.

This year's road safety launch is observed for the first time under Covid-19 regulations with all attendees instructed to wear their masks and maintain a safe social distance at all times.

The South African Police Service, the Mangaung Fire and Rescue Services, Emergency Medical Services, the Provincial Department of Road, Transport and Police, Life Rosepark, and private security companies, among others, say they can confirm they're all on board and there are plans underway to ensure people's safety during this festive season.
