The Maluti-A-Phofung local municipality in the Free State has told residents of Harrismith who are without electricity that it is urgently attending to the matter.
According to municipal spokesperson, Matefu Mokoena, this power failure is the result of damage to a mini substation.
Mokoena says the municipality is busy with emergency procurement, and electricity will be restored as soon as possible.
He concludes that the municipality would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused.
