Two arrested in NC drug bust─── 11:57 Tue, 12 Jan 2021
Two male suspects, aged 40 and 45, were arrested in the Northern Cape on Monday and charged with the possession of drugs after 35 Mandrax tablets and dagga were allegedly found in their vehicle.
Their silver golf was spotted at Lerato Park in Kimberley after the Kimberley K9 Unit reacted to information received from Provincial Crime Intelligence. Members then operationalised the information which led to the drug bust.
These two suspects were detained and are awaiting their court appearance on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Mashney Gamieldien reports that the drugs have a combined, estimated street value of over R6 000. The vehicle was also impounded as it was used in the commission of a crime.
