Heavy rain, flooding expected in parts of NW─── LUCKY NKUYANE 11:26 Mon, 25 Jan 2021

Heavy rain and localised flooding are expected in parts of the North West after cyclone Eloise, which has just been downgraded to a tropical storm, swept across Limpopo, amongst others.
Pockets of localised flooding should be expected in the northeastern parts of the country, which include the Groot Marico and Pilanesberg areas in North West, with a 60-80% chance of rain.
The senior weather forecaster at the SA Weather Services, Puselesto Mofokeng, indicates that flooding will not be as widespread as in Limpopo where dams are overflowing.
Rain is also expected in the Free State, North West and northern parts of the Eastern Cape on Wednesday and Thursday.
Several parts of the Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga and Limpopo have been flooded after heavy downpour in the area.
