Police spokesperson Adéle Myburgh says on Monday the man, also deceased, was informed that the wife went to his house and the man rushed there. Upon arrival, he allegedly stabbed the ex-wife and shot her.

Myburgh says the woman died on the scene but the man went on to set alight a vehicle and shack built inside the yard. Myburgh says the man was later found dead with a bullet wound - believed to be self-inflicted - and was declared dead on the scene by Emergency Medical Services Personnel.
