This, as the province stands at number 3 in the country in terms of infections, behind Gauteng and Mpumalanga.

More than 2000 healthcare workers have taken the vaccine and the department continues to encourage those who haven't to do so.

This includes both public and private healthcare workers.

Health Spokesperson Tebogo Lekgethwane has confirmed that more vacations will be done this week.

The Dr Kenneth Kaunda district has the most healthcare workers who have taken the vaccine in the province, followed by the Bojanala district.
