Ramaema is known for his illustrious public service career.

He served in various strategic and demanding positions, which include being the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Free State Development Corporation (FDC), and Head of the then Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DETEA). 

He has also served as Acting HOD at the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development and Social Development, respectively. 

Ramaema says after a long and hard career it’s time to take some time off.

Ramaema’s contributions include his involvement in various high-level committees, such as the Provincial Coronavirus Command Centre and the Forum of Heads of Departments (FOHOD).

He represented the province at various national forums, such as the South African Statistics Council, of which he is a council member.

Ramaema now retires holding the strategic position of Deputy Director-General (DDG) in the Office of the Premier, where he was responsible for Policy, Planning and Governance, and has on various occasions, when called upon by the current and former Premier, been Acting Director-General of the Free State Provincial Government, in the absence of the incumbent Director-General.

Part of his responsibilities have been to coordinate the implementation of the National Development Plan (NDP) in the province.

The Free State Provincial Government has wished Ramaema well in his future endeavours as he retires from public service.
