He was the Northern Cape Deputy Manager of the Federation of Governing Bodies of South African Schools (FEDSAS), was previously employed by the University of the Free State, and he also served as the chairman of the OFM board.

Gary Stroebel, CEO of Future Media, served on the OFM board with Reverend Jaftha for many years.
