Sebokeng residents in the Vaal, Gauteng, have vandalised a church structure, accusing it of not complying with lockdown regulations during a church service.
The residents also claim the church premises became the hiding spot for criminals who terrorise the community at night.
Some church members who were at the church premises told OFM News that the attack was a traumatic experience.
Following this incident, the Emmanuel Christian Ministry has opened a case of trespassing and vandalism against community members, with no arrests made yet.
The church has been operating in this area for five years.
