North West police arrested 22 suspects for dealing in drugs in the space of just 5 days.
These suspects were nabbed in various parts of the province, including Klerksdorp, Coligny and Lichtenburg.
Police spokesperson, Adéle Myburgh, says these arrests were made during normal patrols and intelligence drive operations.
She says a 41-year-old, Isaac Nwokolad, was arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs in the notorious area of Pienaarsdorp in Klerksdorp.
Police seized mandrax, crystal meth, and ketamine from him with an estimated street value of R20 000.
Myburgh adds police in Coligny and Lichtenburg managed to apprehend at least 21 suspects, aged between 21 to 56 years of age, for being in possession or dealings in dagga, crystal meth and nyaope.
Nwokola appeared in the Klerksdorp Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody until his second court appearance on 16 March.
The other suspects have also appeared in the Lichtenburg and Coligny Magistrates’ Courts,” Myburgh adds.
