This latest arrest comes less than 6 months after 16 suspects were nabbed in October last year.

Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says a 45-year-old man who works at a local clinic in Botshabelo outside Bloemfontein was arrested after 102 bottles of ARV tablets were seized at his house.

He says the suspect was nabbed following an intelligence-driven operation on Thursday by the Selosesha Tactical Response Team.

Makhele says the ARVs are valued at R41 200. Police also found stamped doctor's sick notes, doctor's referral letters and syringes. Makhele adds that upon further investigation it emerged that the suspect was allegedly selling the ARV tablets for R100 per bottle.

The suspect is set to appear in the Botshabelo Magistrates' Court soon for possession of a controlled substance.

OFM News previously reported that suspects travelling to Kroonstad from Gauteng were arrested by authorities in possession of stolen ARV tablets with an estimated value of over R1, 9 million.
