Two injured in collision outside Parys─── 06:49 Fri, 02 Apr 2021
A man and a woman were critically injured this evening in a head-on collision on the R53, approximately 10km outside Parys.
At approximately 18h00, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the two smouldering vehicles on the side of the road. A man and a woman were found a short distance away, being tended to by bystanders.
Medics assessed the patients and found that both were in critical condition.
The patients were treated and provided advanced life support interventions before being transported to Mediclinic Potchefstroom for urgent care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further care.
