Vehicles, including refuse collection trucks, have run out of petrol and diesel, impacting service delivery for more than a week now. 

Municipal communication's officer Makhosonke Sangweni says the municipality is faced with financial challenges, due to declining revenue collection from the residents. 

Some municipal traffic officers who spoke to OFM News on condition of anonymity, claim they've used their own money to refuel official vehicles to perform their duties. 

This morning, affected residents blockaded streets in protest over a lack of refuse removal and electricity.
