According to municipal spokesperson, Sello Matsie, the protest is set to commence from an assembly point close to the Kemo Hotel. He advises that motorists and pedestrians make use of alternative routes as they foresee roads foreclosures from 8:30am until after 11:00am.

Members of the community will then proceed after 9:00 towards Cecil Sussman Road and Quin Streets and turn left into Roper Street at the Premier's office where they will hand over a memorandum to the premier, Zamani Saul and the executive mayor of Sol Plaatje Municipality.

Matsie says that the guidance of police officers and traffic officers has been prepared to assist in monitoring the proceedings as they take course.

Furthermore, members of Sol Plaatje will, upon submitting the memorandum, return to the initial starting point close to the Kemo Hotel. Matsie goes on to say that the march has been authorised by the necessary bodies.
