This amidst the submission of lists of party members who are allegedly being charged with corruption, or other serious crimes being alleged, reported or implicated in corrupt activities, which have been sent to the ANC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) by provinces. 

The IPC spokesperson, Kenny Morolong, says the list, which allegedly includes his name, IPC coordinator Hlomani Chauke, Health MEC Madoda Sambatha, and former MEC Desbo Mohono, says this is fuelled by desperation, lies and concoctions. Morolong says the IPC will not validate the list by a response.  

“That list is riddled with a lot of inaccuracies and we are not going to dignify it with a response from the IPC we will not do that. I can speak on authority that I’ve never been charged nor have I paid a fine in the past 15 years or so. And as I’ve said the list is riddled with a lot of inaccuracies,” he adds.

This said list accuses them of amongst other contravening the national lockdown regulations, contravening tender processes and failing to play an oversight. Morolong confirmed on Friday that the party’s committee did submit the list and they were set to meet on Friday to deliberate further on the ANC step-aside list.
