Police Deputy Minister heads to NW─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 09:11 Sat, 17 Apr 2021
Concerns over gender-based violence (GBV) and escalating cases of domestic violence, as well as gangsterism in the North West, will on Saturday get under the spotlight.
This as the Deputy Minister of Police, Cassel Mathale, is expected to lead a Community Crime Prevention awareness campaign in the province.
The event to be held in Jouberton is set to outline the police’s crime prevention measures and interventions taken to reduce the level of crime in the province.
The Provincial Police Commissioner, the MEC of Community Safety and Transport, as well as Premier Job Mokgoro, are amongst those expected to be in attendance.
This event comes just days after OFM News reported on how farm attacks and stock theft in the province has become a major cause of concern with the police sending a stern warning against perpetrators of these crimes.
