NC premier pleads with Kimberley protestors─── CATHY DLODLO 07:17 Tue, 27 Apr 2021
Northern Cape Premier Zamani Saul has asked Kimberley residents to be patient and to monitor the implementation of interventions - by the provincial government - to address the Kimberley water crisis.
This, while unrest continues in the Diamond City where residents are protesting against a lack of water services.
OFM News reported earlier that protestors blocked several roads - including the N8 and the R31.
Saul says he is concerned with the current situation prevailing in Kimberley.
He adds it is unfair of residents to expect that water problems should be resolved only days after an announcement that the provincial government has set aside R500m to fund the repair and installation of water infrastructure.
