Peacehaven residents in Vereeniging in the Vaal Triangle will finally have an electricity supply, once a transformer that blew up more than 30 days ago is replaced.
The affected residents have been protesting and blocked streets with various objects.
In a separate protest, the residents of Sebokeng also blocked streets, after they had been without electricity supply for a week.
Meanwhile, the Emfuleni Local Municipality has stated that the replacement transformer and cables were delivered on Friday, however, work could not commence due to rainy conditions.
