The 20-year-old and 30-year-old men from Mapoteng in Lesotho were arrested during a stop-and-search operation on Saturday afternoon in an intensive police patrol that yielded positive results in Clocolan.

According to a media statement, two police officers were conducting a stop-and-search operation, when they came across two suspicious men who were carrying huge travelling bags on the R708 road near the filling station at Clocolan.

The police officers discovered black refuse bags that were wrapped, containing dagga weighing 65 kg. The estimated street value of dagga that was confiscated is R65 000. The two suspects who were on their way to Marquard, were arrested and the dagga was impounded by police officials. The two are expected to appear on charges of dealing in dagga and illegal immigration.
