It is alleged that the woman had an argument with her partner on Saturday evening. Her partner is said to have left to seek accommodation at a family member.

Upon his return the next morning, the woman set herself alight in their shack.

An eyewitness told OFM News that by the time emergency personnel arrived at the scene, it was too late.

North West police spokesperson, Amanda Funani, confirmed to OFM News that police opened an inquest docket.

She further says no other people were injured during the incident.
