ANC interim structure speaks out against corruption─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 05:46 Fri, 04 Jun 2021
Corruption will not be tolerated in any ANC structures in the Free State.
This is according to the newly appointed Interim Provincial Committee (IPC).
The structure, set to see the province to an elective conference within nine months, says the party's step-aside rule for those implicated and charged with corruption should be upheld.
Briefing the media, Convener Mxolisi Dukwana, his deputy Sisi Ntombela, and Coordinator Paseka Nompondo said there is no room for corruption in the party.
The trio highlighted that building unity, fighting against corruption, addressing service delivery issues in municipalities and the political instability they are plagued with is of high importance.
Dukwana, the leader of the structure, who is also a well-known opponent of suspended Secretary-General, Ace Magashule, drew much publicity when he testified before the State Capture Commission of Inquiry.
He, during his several testimonies, highlighted how the province had become a cash cow during Magashule's tenure as the Premier and the Chairperson of the ANC.
