FS interim structures concerned about #Covid19 third wave─── 09:30 Fri, 04 Jun 2021
The third wave of Covid-19 is a huge problem that requires maximum attention and for people to help one another in order to deal with this pandemic.
This is according to the newly appointed Interim Provincial Committee (IPC) of the African National Congress (ANC) in the Free State province.
The newly appointed convener, Mxolisi Dukwana, coordinator Paseka Nompondo, together with deputy convener Sisi Ntombela pledged their support for the Department of Health in fighting the pandemic and applauded health workers for their efforts. The trio requested community members to work together with the government in ensuring that the elderly people who are 60 years and above register for the second phase of the vaccination programme.
Ntombela said that the shutdowns that erupted all over the Free State had a huge impact on the increase of infections because people did not follow Covid-19 protocols during protests. She reiterated that people should cut down on social gatherings and they should also abide by Covid-19 protocols.
