#CoronavirusNW: Hospitals restrict movement─── 09:45 Sun, 06 Jun 2021
North West hospitals - including Tshepong, Klerksdorp and Wesvaal - are said to be experiencing a surge in patient admissions due to the third wave of coronavirus (Covid-19) infections.
Hospital managements have resolved to put movement restrictions in place as a way to try and combat further increase of infections.
The Klerksdorp/Tshepong Hospital Complex’s Communications Manager, Nico Masiu, told OFM News that there is a risk of cross infection of vulnerable patients in the hospital if movement is not restricted.
Masiu adds the hospital’s management took a decision to stop all visits to the hospitals with immediate effect until further notice.
