Case postponed against NC murder suspects─── 08:00 Fri, 11 Jun 2021
The case against three suspects, aged 22, 25, and 31, who allegedly stabbed two men with a spear, has been postponed to 2 July 2021 for a formal bail application.
This follows their appearance in the Prieska Magistrate’s Court on 9 June 2021. They will re-appear in the same court.
According to the provincial spokesperson, Sergio Kock, the incident took place on 6 June 2021, where the three suspects had an alleged altercation with two other men in a well-known tavern in Prieska.
Kock says after the incident escalated, the two victims were stabbed by the suspects during the ordeal. One of the victims died hours later after being rushed to a nearby hospital and the other is currently in a critical condition, Kock confirms. The suspects were arrested shortly after the incident.
