VKB joins hands with Headstart Kids to help children in need─── 12:05 Thu, 17 Jun 2021
Vulnerable children depend on adults around them to nurture and provide them with necessary food.
This enables children to become more proactive and enable them to function well throughout their childhood development. VBK has joined hands with Headstart Kids and other stakeholders to ensure that vulnerable kids are supported.
According to VKB marketing manager, Susan Roberts, they are pleased to collaborate with the Headstart Kids programme, which is aimed at improving children's well-being for the first five years of their childhood stage. She further states that VKB Milling is aimed at providing micronutrients into the programme that is headed by Headstart Kids.
“Every single project stands out, every adult can make a difference to a child’s life. Each project is equally valuable to a child. We shouldn’t only focus on our youth for a month. VKB Flour Mills will be donating 500 loaves of bread per week for a year,” said Roberts.
She further said that the youth in our country needs to know that they are important and they are the future of this country. She reiterated that Youth Month celebrations manifest their importance in the country. The Youth Day Activation Programme is expected to continue on Thursday, as more stakeholders are expected to be involved in handing out bread and baby formula to more orphanage homes.
