Former Free State DDG remembered─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 16:04 Mon, 28 Jun 2021
Tributes continue to pour in for the family and friends of the late Free State Deputy Director-General.
The late Thuso Ramaema passed away last week after succumbing to Covid-19. Ramaema is remembered this afternoon as a delicate public servant in a memorial service held by the Provincial Government. He retired from Public Service in February this year, leaving the position of the DDG in the Office of the Premier. He served in a number of strategic positions within the government, including being the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Free State Development Corporation (FDC), as well as the Head of Department (HOD) at the Department of Economic Development, amongst other positions.
Free State Premier, Sisi Ntombela, has since expressed shock at the passing of Ramaema. She, in a statement, described him as an excellent Certified Fraud Examiner, as well as someone who was responsible for Policy, Planning, and Governance.
His memorial service is underway at the OR Tambo House which houses the Premier's office.
