NC to launch police vaccination programme─── 15:58 Wed, 07 Jul 2021
The Northern Cape SAPS will officially commence it’s Covid-19 vaccination rollout for police officials in the province on Thursday 8 July 2021.
The provincial spokesperson, Dimakatso Mooi, says the launch will take place at the Gladstone Building, De Beers, in Kimberley at 09:30. Mooi says 24 vaccination sites have been identified in the province where members will receive their one-shot jab of the vaccination.
The launch forms part of an attempt by collective stakeholders in government to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic which continues to claim the lives of many people, Mooi says in a statement.
The MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison, Nomandla Bloem, together with the Acting Provincial Commissioner, Joey Kers will lead the launch. Kers and other senior managers are expected to form part of the first group of police officers to receive their vaccinations.
