According to the secretary of the MCC, Keorapetse Koikoi, the meeting was postponed because of unforeseen circumstances and MCC representatives are expected to meet in order to decide a way forward.

OFM News had earlier reported the meeting that was scheduled for today, following the events that took place on Monday morning. MCC members had stormed into the Bram Fischer building, demanding the budget and a meeting with the metro’s Acting Manager.

The Mangaung Metro Municipality's spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, earlier confirmed that the two parties would be meeting on Thursday 8 July 2021.
