Bfn's 50s and over vaccination turnout 'a success thus far'─── 15:39 Thu, 08 Jul 2021
The vaccination rollout for 50s and older have thus far been a success. According to the Bloemfontein Mediclinic spokesperson, Barbara Steenkamp, their vaccination station is a major success with regard to turnout thus far.
Steenkamp further says that there is a higher demand for vaccinations than before. The Free State province kicked off their vaccination registration rollout for people 50 years and over on the 1st of July 2021.
"Our vaccination station at Mediclinic Bloemfontein is running very well. There is a better, or more of a demand, especially since they announced the 50s and over vaccination rollout plan. We are very thankful and there is definitely an increase in turnout compared to before," Steenkamp says.
Steenkamp further tells OFM News that people should still be cautious and vigilant as vaccinations limits the fatality of the virus, but it can still spread. She urges everyone to register and get vaccinated as this can limit deaths among Covid-19 patients.
