DA commends FS residents for not looting─── 10:34 Sat, 17 Jul 2021
The Free State Democratic Alliance (DA) leader, Roy Jankielsohn, has called for peace.
This, following recent unrest in other provinces.
Jankielsohn stated that recent service delivery protests have already impacted the Free State economy.
According to Jankielson, violent protests in the Free State will cost jobs.
He further stated that within the already dire economic situation, the Free State cannot afford for a single business to close or shed jobs.
"Over the last couple of days, we've seen devastating violence, destruction of property and loss of life in other provinces. I would like to request Free State residents to resist the temptation to partake in such activities. We must support each other and protect our local economies, protect our jobs and protect livelyhoods in our province. People who love the Free State will never ever loot the Free State," said Jankielson.
