University spokesperson, Tumelo Mutume, tells OFM News that both their Mahikeng and Potchefstroom campuses have been working overtime to ensure that community members gain full access to the jabs.

She adds that further vaccinations will take place this weekend at the Mahikeng campus from 8:00 to 16:00.

She says that vaccinations at the Potchefstroom campus will also take place today and tomorrow.

Mutume tells OFM News that they have vaccinated more than 6000 people to date, and that they encourage more members of the public to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

“We ask members of the public in Potchefstroom to use the Gerrit Dekker entrance. All you have to do to get vaccinated on one of our campuses is to register on the national department of health’s electronic vaccine data system, bring your ID and proof of registration, “adds Mutume.

Members of the public residing in the Mahikeng campus area are encouraged to get vaccinated at the Great hall, says Mutume.

She adds that the vaccination centre on the Potchefstroom campus will be behind the Veritas residence.
