With the Spring season in full swing, Tebogo Velembo from the Tourism Authority tells OFM News more and more international tourists are visiting the province. He says this aligns with their plan to promote tourism during this month.

The province is currently holding a media tour to promote domestic travel and the Northern Cape as a tourist destination. Velembo's statement comes weeks after the latest Quarterly Labour Force Survey, released by Statistics South Africa, indicated that the industry is amongst those that have been hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.

OFM News earlier reported that the indigenous plants and famous Namakwaland flowers have become the centre of attention with tourists from across different parts of the world coming to see them.
