This, as the Minister for Human Settlements, Mmamoloko Kubayi, is expected to conduct an oversight inspection of housing projects in the province on Thursday.

Kubayi is expected to be accompanied by Premier Zamani Saul and Cooperative Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs MEC Bentley Vass.

She is further expected to conduct inspections and engage communities in the Pixley Ka Seme District and Sol Plaatje Local Municipalities.

Her visit to the Northern Cape follows her recent visit to the Free State, where she expressed concern over incomplete projects and housing backlogs in the Mangaung Metro.

Kubayi will on Thursday and Friday also hand over houses and tittle deeds to beneficiaries in the Northern Cape and make necessary interventions at delayed projects.
