The DA Mangaung caucus leader, Hardie Viviers, says they will have a media briefing at the Naval Hill Water Reservoir on Friday morning where the focus will be to address issues pertaining to water supply in Mangaung. He says government should prioritise scarce natural resources such as water, especially in the Free State.

"The DA will be highlighting how the government has shelved the water project that could have secured our water supply in the Mangaung Metro, and what the consequences of this failure means for our residents," says Viviers.

He says that the event will be attended by DA members of the Parliament such as Werner Horn, Patricia Kopane, DA Mangaung Councillors, as well as members of the media.

OFM News previously reported Bloem Water, which supplies bulk water to the troubled Mangaung Metro Municipality, was amongst the water boards under investigation for irregular expenditure.
