FS Health denies Bongani Hospital's water shortage claims─── BLAINE JONES 12:34 Thu, 21 Oct 2021
The reports about the Bongani Regional Hospital in Welkom not having water are false.
This is according to the Free State Health Department spokesperson, Mondli Mvambi, who says the hospital is receiving municipal water supply. Mvambi says the hospital is being supplied by the Sedibeng Water and adds that the supply of water is constantly flowing. Mvambi says the CEO of the hospital has checked on the reservoirs within the hospital and confirms that these reservoirs are full to capacity. Mvambi says the reservoirs are used in case of an emergency.
“There has not been any need thus far for the utilisation of water from the reservoirs, because we get have constant supply of water from Sedibeng, which is municipal water,” Mvambi says.
