Rail tracks and overhead copper cables have been vandalised and stolen since the beginning of the lockdown, leading to the cancellation of all trains between Vereeniging and Park Station.

The alleged cable thief was later handed over to the Sebokeng police.

Earlier this month, OFM News reported of three security guards who were arrested after they were found in possession of suspected stolen copper cables at Duncanville Power Station in Vereeniging.
