OFM News earlier reported that residents in the area discovered the burned remains of two men, and summoned the Bedwang Police to the scene. The North West police spokesperson, Amanda Funani, told OFM News that one of the bodies was identified by a mother who told police that it was her 32-year-old son who was taken by a group of people yesterday.

“According to the information we have, a group of unknown people came to the victim’s house yesterday afternoon looking for him. They took the victim with them and he never came back home. The other body is yet to be identified. At this stage, we are still investigating the motive for the two murders,” she said.

Funani further adds that the police were informed that the two dead men were allegedly involved in stock theft.
